TAO
steel, 43" h x 75" w x 24" d
Three books—closed, open, and yet unwritten—are suspended between two vertical forms: a pillar of closed volumes (the past) and a column of loose pages (the future). Burnished steel retains the memory of human touch, emphasizing presence and time.
Tao, meaning “the way” or “path,” is expressed through the table’s narrow, walkway-like form. The work reflects on past, present, and future, reminding us that only the present moment truly exists.
